Trims/Components Library
The Trims/Components Library contains Example Trims/Components. These are representative of common trims in apparel, home textiles, and footwear. The impact of a trim/component selection includes the impacts of all of the materials used in the trim, inclusive of the defect rate and net use efficiency. More can be read about this in the Creating Customized Trims/Components and Packaging section.
Since trims/components vary in size, impacts will be different based on materials selected and the weights of the parts. The following Example Trims/Components are available:
- 12 mm button/snap button-Aluminum is modeled using default aluminum metal weighing 1.83 grams.
- 12 mm button/snap button-Brass is modeled using default brass metal weighing 1.83 grams.
- 12 mm button/snap button-Nylon is modeled using default nylon plastic weighing 0.31 grams.
- 12mm button/snap button – Polyester is modeled using default polyester plastic weighing 0.31 grams.
- 25 mm button/snap button-Aluminum is modeled using default aluminum metal weighing 10.96 grams.
- 25 mm button/snap button-Brass is modeled using default brass metal weighing 10.96 grams.
- 25 mm button/snap button-Nylon is modeled using default nylon plastic weighing 1.83 grams.
- 25mm button/snap button – Polyester is modeled using default polyester plastic weighing 1.83 grams.
- Buckle/ring-PE is modeled using default polyethylene plastic weighing 1.67 grams.
- Buckle/ring-Steel is modeled using default steel metal weighing 10.0 grams
